About Time Card Calculator Pro
Last updated
Time Card Calculator Pro is for the person who sits down on Friday afternoon with a stack of time cards and needs the right totals for payroll, and for the hourly worker who wants to check that their paycheck adds up.
What we believe
- Free should mean free. The calculator, PDF timesheet, clock-out calculator and templates need no signup and no email.
- Hours and pay are private. All the maths runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us unless you choose to save it in Time Card Pro.
- Overtime should be right. We follow the federal rule that each workweek stands alone, support daily overtime and California's 8 hour, 12 hour and seventh-day rules, and explain where every number comes from.
How we check our numbers
The calculator, the PDF timesheet and the Excel templates share the same tested logic. Before each release we run worked examples (like the 45.75 hour week on the home page) through every overtime rule and rounding option. Legal references come from the US Department of Labor's regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (29 CFR parts 516, 778 and 785) and the California Labor Code section 510. We review the content at least twice a year and show the date on every page.
How we make money
Time Card Pro is an optional subscription for employers who run payroll every week or two: saved employees, every pay period on file, Excel and CSV exports and branded timesheets. That keeps the calculator free for everyone else.
